Recently, on November 6, 2024, Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) Pham Nam Phong led a delegation from Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (HOSE: C47) to visit, inspect the implementation of the Nam Neun 1 hydropower project, and attend an important kick-off meeting with representatives of the Investor (CĐT) and Supervisory Consultant (TVGS) at the site. This event marks an important milestone in the initial phase of the project’s construction, demonstrating the strong commitment of C47’s leadership (the leading member of the consortium) to accelerating construction progress and ensuring quality and safety standards during implementation.
During the working program, the delegation conducted field visits and inspected major items on the project’s critical path. Immediately after inspecting the construction items, the delegation held an important meeting with the Investor, Supervisory Consultant, Design Consultant, and representatives of partners and related units. The parties discussed in detail the construction plan, technical solutions, and coordination steps to ensure the project’s progress according to the schedule.
The Nam Neun 1 hydropower project is designed with 2 units, with a total capacity of 124MW, located in Ban Phianghong, Muang Nonghet, Xiengkhuang Province, Lao PDR, invested by Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Co., Ltd., with a construction period of 48 months. Upon completion, the project will significantly contribute to the region’s power supply, drive economic development, improve local people’s living standards, and sell electricity to the Vietnamese Government through the 220KV grid.
Since receiving the site and organizing construction, the consortium of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 and Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 3, led by C47, has accelerated the implementation of specific tasks: Completed topographic surveys, geological drilling surveys, submitted FS review documents, and will proceed with specialized surveys for design purposes such as horizontal tunneling, geophysical surveys, etc. Currently, the consortium is implementing auxiliary items such as: Construction roads (TC6, HT2, VH2); Camp area (temporary housing for the Investor, contractor’s housing area); Quarry 4A, entrance, and exit. The implementation is closely following the construction progress and site handover schedule of the Investor, with all handed-over construction sites being simultaneously and effectively deployed.
Regarding the mobilization of manpower and equipment to ensure the project’s progress. Since the contract implementation, C47 has focused on experienced personnel and a large number of equipment to ensure construction progress at the site. As of now, C47 has mobilized over 150 personnel and 80 pieces of equipment, including cars, excavators, bulldozers, drills, etc. In the coming time, the Investor will continue to hand over the remaining areas, and C47 will continue to increase manpower and equipment to organize construction, ensuring progress at the foundation pit, spillway, quarry 6, construction road, and right bank area; especially proceeding to access and construct the diversion tunnel entrance to ensure water diversion by November 2025.
With extensive experience and capability in constructing many national key projects such as: Dong Nai 4 Hydropower Project (Dak Nong Province), Da Nhim Expansion Hydropower Project (Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan Provinces), Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Project (Kon Tum Province), Trung Son Hydropower Project (Thanh Hoa Province), Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower Project (Phase 1), Tan My Irrigation System (Ninh Thuan Province), Dinh Binh Reservoir, Dong Mit Reservoir (Binh Dinh Province), Nuoc Trong Reservoir (Quang Ngai Province)… C47 fully masters construction technologies, possesses experienced personnel and modern equipment to organize construction, ensuring the project’s progress and quality.
