On October 26, 2024, at the 11th floor hall on of Hai Au Bien Cuong Hotel, No. 8 Bien Cuong Street, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (HOSE: C47) and Vu Phong Energy Group and partners including: Xanh Yeu Thuong, AI Education and SUN Edu sign MOU to launch the “Green Journey, Digital Knowledge” project. The project is a multi-stakeholder cooperation initiative, aiming to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of C47’s establishment, with the goal of building and improving infrastructure of schools in the remote areas, while promoting digital transformation in education. The project will implement activities such as building a toilet system combined with solar energy, providing Chromebooks and the Google Workspace for Education ecosystem.
The ceremony welcomed various leaders from Binh Dinh province were Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of PPC, along with representatives of the leaders of provincial departments, agencies and orginizations as well as People’s Committees and Police Department of Ngo May ward, Nguyen Van Cu ward. C47 and Vu Phong Energy Group, as main sponsors, were represented by Mr. Pham Nam Phong – Chairman of the Board of both C47 and Vu Phong Energy Group, Mr. Duong Minh Quang – Member of the Board cum CEO of C47, Mr. Nguyen Quang Tri – CEO of Vu Phong Energy Group, representatives of the Board, the Executive Board, and heads of departments from both main sponsors; representatives of AI Education and Xanh Yeu Thuong; leaders of partners, clients of C47 and Vu Phong Energy Group were also present.
The “Green Journey, Digital Knowledge” project will implement activities such as building solar-powered restroom facilities, providing Chromebooks and the Google Workspace for Education ecosystem. With a projected budget over five billion dong, the project will be run in 10 primary and secondary schools, starting at Ky Hai Primary and Secondary School, Ky Anh District, Ha Tinh Province. Early 2025, the project will be expanded to Vinh Thanh Town Primary School and Vinh Son Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, Vinh Thanh District, Binh Dinh Province, with the goal of bringing positive impacts to more than 5,000 students each year in remote areas in Vietnam and will continue to expand to other countries in the region.
In his directive speech at the Ceremony, Mr. Lam Hai Giang – Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh PPC expressed the interest of Binh Dinh Provincial Leaders in the work of “Green and Digital Transformation”, which is one of the mandatory requirements for future development. The “Green Journey, Digital Technology” project aligns well with current needs, and he hopes that with sponsorship from C47, Vu Phong Energy Group, and project partners, the initiative will bring practical benefits, providing students in remote areas with improved conditions and environments for their growth.
