On October 26, 2024, at the 11th-floor conference hall of Hai Au Bien Cuong Hotel, located at 8 Bien Cuong Street, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (HOSE: C47) and Vu Phong Energy Group, in collaboration with partners Xanh Yeu Thuong, AI Education, and SUN Edu, officially signed the launch of the “Green Journey, Digital Knowledge” project. This multilateral initiative commemorates C47’s 50th anniversary, with the goal of developing and enhancing infrastructure in remote schools and promoting digital transformation in education. The project will implement initiatives such as constructing solar-powered restroom facilities and providing Chromebooks equipped with the Google Workspace for Education ecosystem.
The ceremony welcomed various leaders from Binh Dinh Province, including Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives from provincial departments, agencies, and organizations, as well as from the People’s Committees and Police Departments of Ngo May Ward and Nguyen Van Cu Ward. C47 and Vu Phong Energy Group, as main sponsors, were represented by Mr. Pham Nam Phong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of both C47 and Vu Phong Energy Group, Mr. Duong Minh Quang, Board Member and CEO of C47, and Mr. Nguyen Quang Tri, CEO of Vu Phong Energy Group, along with Board Members, the executive board, and departmental leaders from both primary sponsoring companies, as well as representatives from AI Education and Xanh Yeu Thuong. Leaders from partner organizations and clients of C47 and Vu Phong Energy Group were also present.
The “Green Journey, Digital Knowledge” project will implement activities including the construction of solar-powered restroom facilities and the provision of Chromebooks with the Google Workspace for Education ecosystem. With a projected budget exceeding VND 5 billion, the project will start in 10 primary and secondary schools, beginning with Ky Hai Primary and Secondary School in Ky Anh District, Ha Tinh Province. At the beginning of 2025, the project will expand to Vinh Thanh Town Primary School and Vinh Son Ethnic Boarding Lower Secondary School in Vinh Thanh District, Binh Dinh Province, aiming to positively impact over 5,000 students each year in remote areas of Vietnam, with plans to expand to other countries in the region.
In his directive speech at the ceremony, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, expressed the province’s dedication to “green and digital transformation,” essential requirements for future development. He noted that the “Green Journey, Digital Knowledge” project aligns well with current needs, and he hopes that with sponsorship from C47, Vu Phong Energy Group, and project partners, the initiative will bring practical benefits, providing students in remote areas with improved conditions and environments for their growth.
